What a happy client has said

“I’ve been having tattoo removal sessions with JH Skincare Clinic for just over a year now. From day one I have been really impressed by the team – from their professionalism to how clean they keep the place. Special shout-out to Keeley who has been doing my treatments. She is really thorough, knows her stuff and just generally great to chat to! I have just had my sixth session and its fading well and it is especially noticeable when I compare it to photos before I started. It’s not a speedy process removing a tattoo but I am happy with where i’ve got to so far. I am also pleased with the value, especially as some of the big clinics charge a lot more.”

FAQs

Q-Switch Lasers that generate a high-powered beam of laser light in an extremely short pulse are the most suitable lasers for tattoo removal treatments. This very short pulse of high-powered laser light is absorbed by the tattoo’s ink particles, breaking these down into smaller tiny pieces, and enabling your natural immune defences to absorb the ink. Gradual fading of the tattoo occurs over a series of treatments.

Most patients describe the sensation as similar to a hot pinprick or the flick of an elastic band. Whilst this is mildly uncomfortable, most people tolerate it well. Skin cooling packs will be utilised to reduce any discomfort and our Light Soothe and Light Protect SPF 50 will also be applied post-treatment. These products are also recommended for home care.

This depends on several factors, including the density and colour of inks and the age of the tattoo. Amateur tattoos can be quick to remove, taking 1 – 6 treatments. Professional tattoos vary considerably and some can take up to 15 treatments. Repeat treatments are spaced every 8 – 10 weeks.

Generally, a course of treatment is required for optimum results.

Most people are suitable for treatment. We recommend a thorough Consultation and Patch 1 week before commencing treatment to ascertain if the treatment will be successful for you.
